Our Board has a couple vacancies and we are looking for individuals interested in engaging in and learning about the early industrial history of Akron, and engaging the community as we work to create an art centered public space with many area partners, including Summit Metro Parks, the City of Akron, Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition, the Knight Foundation, and Rubber City Jazz & Blues Festival, to name a few. We meet monthly on the 4th Wednesday January through October at 5pm at the Mustill Store Museum, with an annual retreat in November/December. We have one fund raiser, the Duck Derby, with rubber ducks racing in the canal, each June.

Major Giving Officer-Individual (10/3/24)
The Major Giving Officer oversees all aspects of prospecting and direct solicitation of major gifts, including prospect research, relationship building, solicitation strategy, stewardship, and organizational reporting. This position will manage a portfolio of 100 + individual donors with the potential of a major gift, defined as $2,500 or more. The emphasis of the Major Giving Officer is to maximize the donations from individual donors to support essential mission-related activities in alignment with strategic goal achievement.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing the financial transactions and processes related to government contracts, grant tracking, accounts receivable, and compliance for the organization. This role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, payment processing, and grant-related activities. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with grant management, and proficiency in both warehouse software and QuickBooks.
