Leadership Akron Announces New Board Members and Officers

Leadership Akron is excited to welcome two distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors: Tim Able, Executive Vice President and Partner at SeibertKeck Insurance Partners, and Aimee Wade, Executive Director of the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board.

Tim Able is a proud graduate of Leadership Akron Class 38. Tim has been with SeibertKeck Insurance Partners since 2012 in various risk-management and sales roles. Today, as Executive Vice President and Partner, he promotes the company’s strong culture of giving. Tim founded the SeibertKeck Easter Basket Mission and drives initiatives in the communities surrounding SeibertKeck’s 20 offices across Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida. Tim also serves on the boards of ACCESS, Inc. and Stewart’s Caring Place. His previous community involvement includes serving on the boards of Akron Snow Angels and Akron Children’s Hospital Ambassadors of Hope, as well as participating in community and leadership programs with Heart to Heart and Leadership Akron. Tim is also a graduate of Akron Community Foundation’s Emerging Philanthropists program.

An Ohio native, Tim earned a business degree from Miami University, where he met his wife of 21 years, Julie, a sixth-grade teacher. They live in Copley with their children, Hudson (17) and Harper (11). Tim enjoys volunteering, golfing, and searching for “treasure” at flea markets, yard sales, and antique stores.

Aimee Wade is a distinguished member of Leadership Akron Class 35 and has over 13 years of service with the ADM Board, advancing to the position of Executive Director in 2021. Aimee’s career spans various roles in social services and criminal justice across Ohio. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology from The Ohio State University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Akron. Aimee is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation and an International and Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant. She also completed Harvard Business School’s Strategy for Healthcare Delivery Program.

Aimee's community involvement is extensive. She served as Board Chair for the Ohio Prevention Professionals Association and is a member of the Summit County Opiate Abatement Advisory Committee, Summa Community Engagement Committee, Athena Akron, and Akron Rotary. She has also been recognized by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation as a 2023 Sojourner Truth Legacy Project Unsung Shero and received the 2024 Ohio Prevention Professionals Association’s Prevention Visionary Award. Aimee resides in Akron with her husband, their two adult daughters, and one granddaughter.

Leadership Akron also extends heartfelt thanks to Amanda M. Leffler, Attorney at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, for her dedicated service of two years as the immediate past board chair. Additionally, we acknowledge Jon Fiume and Judi Hill for their significant contributions over three consecutive three-year terms, culminating in the completion of their nine-year board service obligations.
