Laurie Zuckerman Honored as 2023 Recipient of the Lieberth Community Vision Award

Leadership Akron proudly announces Laurie Zuckerman, President of Zuckerman Consulting Group, as the esteemed recipient of the 2023 Lieberth Community Vision Award. Recognized for her unwavering commitment to leadership development and community involvement, Laurie's contributions have significantly shaped Akron and its surrounding communities. She will be celebrated during the Lieberth Community Vision Award ceremony on the morning of November 2, 2023, at the John S. Knight Center.

Laurie has made invaluable contributions to key Leadership Akron programs, including the Signature Class and the closing retreat of the New Endeavors for eXperienced Talent (NEXT) program. In recognition of her dedication and excellence, she was the 2001 recipient of the Distinguished Leader Award, marking her significant voluntary contributions to our community.

Leading the Zuckerman Consulting Group, Laurie uses her expertise to unlock an organization's potential, aligning teams toward shared goals. With a portfolio including close to 100 organizations, like NASA, Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, her impact on organizational leadership is far-reaching and profound.

Equipped with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, an MBA in Marketing, and extensive training in human behavior, Laurie brings a unique perspective to her consulting. She has also authored a book, "On Your Own: A Woman’s Guide To Building A Business," further cementing her legacy as a leader in her field.

Laurie's unwavering commitment to the community has seen her volunteer with numerous Akron area organizations. As a founder of the Women's Endowment Fund of the Akron Community Foundation and the creator of its biennial forum on the needs of women and girls, Laurie's influence has resonated deeply within Summit County. Her efforts have seen her honored with multiple community awards, including the Judith A. Read Award, Akron Athena Award, Jewish Community Board of Akron Leadership Award, Women’s Network Founders Award, and Women of Achievement Award.
