Leadership Akron Edge, a program delivered in partnership with Torchbearers, connects interns, post-graduates, and early career professionals with established leaders to showcase Akron as a thriving place to live and work. Each Edge session offers access to community decision-makers and lessons for personal and professional success. Edge gives participants a head start on career success and community involvement, while strengthening young employees’ ties to Greater Akron to retain their talent in our community.

The summer program consists of four Wednesday sessions, as well as an orientation and closing reception with employers and community leaders. Sessions will cover topics that emphasize plugging in to the community, making connections that count, capitalizing on strengths, and leading by example. Participants may also engage in supplemental opportunities that will be available throughout the course of the program.
