Leadership Akron Announces Signature Class 35

Leadership Akron has selected a class of 40 leaders for its 2018/2019 Signature Program. With nearly 90 qualified applicants annually, the selection process is especially competitive. The class includes participants from greater Akron’s business, government, and nonprofit sectors. Since 1984, Leadership Akron has inspired participants to advance their involvement and impact as community leaders.

Over the course of the year, Leadership Akron Signature Class 35 will develop a well-rounded perspective on the Akron community, and set the stage for further involvement as civic-minded leaders. Beginning the year with a City Tour and two-day Opening Retreat, they will spend a full day each month focusing on a sector of the community, with a hands-on look at the key organizations, decision-makers, and challenges within each sector. Upon graduation, the class will be poised with new knowledge, connections, and commitments to empower their service to the Greater Akron community.
