Barry Dunaway, a fourth-generation Akronite, is a graduate of The University of Akron with a B.S. degree in Business Management-Industrial Accounting. He joined The J. M. Smucker Company in 1987 and held various positions during his nearly 32-year tenure that took him to Wisconsin, the United Kingdom, and San Francisco, before retiring this past summer as the President of the Pet Food and Pet Snacks division. Since his retirement, Barry relocated to the Portage Lakes area, where he has owned a home since 2000, and joined the Leadership Akron team.

Barry has been a longtime supporter of the Akron community, where he has served on the board of the Akron Rotary Camp, Advisory Council for WKSU, and the Advisory Council for The University of Akron’s College of Business.


Kelley Ann Behrens

Kelley grew up in Westfield Center, Ohio, and currently lives in West Akron. She attended The University of Akron and has been an active volunteer and board member in the community for over 20 years. She previously owned a Prescription Benefit Plan Company and The Pink Door, a specialty boutique. 

Kelley has a knack for event planning and enjoys entertaining, cooking, baking and playing tennis. She has a daughter who lives in West Akron and a son at High Point University in North Carolina. They love to travel together and spend time as a family with their two dogs, Midge and Louis.


Heather Flohr

Heather is originally from a small town in upstate New York. She moved to Akron in 2014 after serving eight years in the United States Marine Corps. Heather is a graduate of Park University, with a B.S. in Social Psychology.

Heather currently serves on the Board for the Copley-Fairlawn Youth Football and Cheer Organization, and is a Coach for the Cheer Program. She and her husband Ryan reside in Copley with their three children: Xzandre, Aubree, and Natalie. Family time includes bike rides on the Towpath in the summer and viewing the foliage during the Fall Hiking Spree with the Metro Parks.


Mark U. Greer

A native of Akron, Mark graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.M., magna cum laude, in Music Performance, and Kent State University with a Master of Music in Piano. 

Prior to joining Leadership Akron in 2018, Mark taught on the music faculty at Malone University, was the advertising manager for Clavier Companion magazine, worked as an administrative assistant and faculty member for the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, Penn., and served several years at KeyBank throughout the Akron/Canton region.

An accomplished pianist and composer, Mark made his Carnegie Hall debut at Weill Recital Hall and has been heard live on Vermont Public Radio. An avid writer and historian, Mark attends One Family Under Guard Worship Center, where he serves as a minister. 


Susan Kosco

Susan grew up in North Royalton and has lived in northeast Ohio her entire life. She joined the Leadership Akron team in 2008 after a 10-year hiatus from the work force to stay at home with her children. Prior to this, Sue worked in Human Resources for National City Bank (now PNC) in Cleveland for 14 years. She attended both Bowling Green State University and Baldwin-Wallace College, earning a B.S. in Business Administration.

Susan's husband, Maurus, is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 22. They live in Copley and have four children ranging in age from 15 to 24.


Arica Leonard

Arica grew up in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and moved to the Akron area to attend The University of Akron. In 2015, she graduated with her B.A. in Business & Organizational Communication: Public Relations, with a minor in Dance.

Arica joined the Leadership Akron team in September 2014 as an intern. She continued her internship through the following summer, before becoming a full-time employee. In January 2016, Arica took the role as Program Coordinator for Leadership Akron, providing administrative and logistical support across several programs. In June 2017, Arica moved into the Marketing & Communications Coordinator role, where she is sharing her passion for the work of Leadership Akron with the Akron community.

In her free time, Arica enjoys serving as the Philanthropy Chairman for the Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at The University of Akron and the Co-Chair of the Annual Alpha Gamma Delta Jewel Ball, traveling with friends, and spending time with her cat, Rory Gilmore.


Ericka Lessears

Ericka is an Akron native who moved back to the Akron area from Iowa in August 2016. She attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, and received her B.A. in Communications from Walsh University and her M.B.A. from the University of Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to Leadership Akron, Ericka was a Certification Specialist with Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. 

In college, Ericka met and fell in love with her husband, Andre, who is a member of Signature Class 35. They have been married for the last 15 years. Ericka and Andre have lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and spent 10 years in Iowa. They currently live in Akron with their children: Mackenzie, Erik, Zoe, and Alyssa, while their oldest son, Andre Jr., is away serving in the U.S. Army Reserves. When she is not working, you can catch Ericka at her kids sporting events as they play six different sports between the four of them.

A native of Akron, GinaKaye spent her professional career as a corporate training consultant, most recently with the former FirstMerit Bank. While at FirstMerit, she developed and facilitated the Diversity and Inclusion curriculum. Her love for teaching also allowed her to serve for several years as an adjunct faculty member of Mt. Union University, in the department of Communications Studies.

GinaKaye is a graduate of Kent State University with a Master’s in Communications, holds a professional certificate in Business Ethics Management from Bentley University, and has completed her doctoral coursework in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. She comes to Diversity on Board having served several area organizations, including Past-President of Akron Rotary, Board of Trustees for Mobile Meals, Goodwill Industries, Cascade Locks Parks Association, and United Disability Services. She currently serves as Vice President of the Mayor’s Akron Civil Rights Commission and is Secretary for Summit County Children Services Board.  

In her spare time, she is director of music at a local church, an avid movie enthusiast, and she volunteers as a tutor in phonics and reading. GinaKaye is a graduate of Leadership Akron’s Signature Class “Lucky” 13.    

Sheri Myricks

Sheri grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended Anderson University in Anderson, Ind., where she received a B.A. in Secondary Education, Social Studies. Shortly after graduation she married Akron native, Charles Myricks, Jr. and officially became a Buckeye.

Her career path has included teaching for Akron Public Schools, serving as Office Manager and Executive Assistant for the Nashville Sports Council and Director of Marketing and President’s Hall Operations for Akron Urban League. A passion for assisting organizations that seek to build a stronger community led her to Leadership Akron in February 2016 where she serves as Operations Coordinator. A graduate of Leadership Akron (Class 28 - 2012) and Project Blueprint (2005 - now Leadership Akron’s Diversity on Board), Sheri is no stranger to Akron’s commitment to developing vibrant, engaged leaders.

Sheri resides in West Akron with her husband and two teenage children, Kristen and Charles III. The couple has an adult daughter, Kathryn, who resides in the Cleveland area and a dog named Icee. The family attends Arlington Church of God.
